David Hillier is a man of many talents, interests and dedications. Its Dave's committment to the betterment of his community and society at large that set him apart.

Dave has been a youth coach for 17 seasons in five sports: baseball, basketball, soccer, roller hockey and cross country. Obviously an athlete himself, Dave's has enjoyed coaching the Asheville Middle School Cross Country Team for the past 6 years.  His runners gave him the best kind of thank you recently at their annual awards assembly this year. And, for the last 8 years, tutors students two mornings a week at Jones School.

Dave has served the legal community in Western North Carolina in many capacities, ranging from Bar President to lawyer mentor. Dave's 2004 Centennial Award is evidence of the respect his peers have for him.  It is a peer nomination recognition by the state bar and is meant to acknowledge the goodness a lawyer portrays in his daily and civic life. 

Dave is one of those truly all around good guys.  He places great importance on family and most enjoys those moments of genuine affection, fun and closeness offered only in a loving home.  From mentor, to coach, to husband and funny guy, you can see from the snapshot images Dave provided that his smile is a most infectious part of his character and he shares it freely.
