Howard Gum Elected State Bar Councilor

In October, 2006, Howard Gum was elected to the position of State Bar Councilor by the lawyers of Buncombe County's 28th Judicial District Bar.  A three year term, the State Bar Liaison acts as representative before the state bar for lawyers practicing law in the 28th Judicial District.  Mr. Gum fills the seat of vacating state bar councilor, Sara Davis, who served in the position for nearly a decade.  Sara Davis was also honored to have a Specialization Award named for her earlier this year beside Howard.  Howard and Sara have served the 28th Judicial District Bar and the lawyers of Buncombe County and Western North Carolina tirelessly and have done much work to maintain a high level of professionalism within the legal field in North Carolina.
