Often a potential client visits an attorney to discuss divorce. Although, they have not yet made the decision to take the big step. First, they want to know their options. Attorneys typically encourage them to explore alternatives, and often suggest how to protect themselves and meet their needs instead of divorce.

If your attorney raises the issue of reconciliation, he is not questioning or judging your decision. He is clarifying and confirming you know your options, and you want a divorce.
